Our cultural arts café and bar result from friends coming together to foster art, community, and dialogue over excellent coffee and unique cocktails. Aaron Zilbermann and Tron Colbert moved into a historic 4-plex building in Old East Dallas with this intention in mind. We reside in half of this building while the other half is used to collectively engage the neighborhood with coffee, cocktails, community, and conversation through the creation and development of art.

In an effort to embrace the cultural diversity of the people living under this roof and the community as a whole, we decided to name our space Todo Sababa, which is a mixture of Spanish, Hebrew, and Arabic. “Todo” means “all” in Spanish and “Sababa” is a word used frequently in modern Hebrew and comes from the Arabic word “Tzababa”. “Sababa” means “cool” or “amazing,” similar to the Colombian word “chevere.” Put it together and Todo Sababa means “It’s all good!”

Our intention is clear: coffee, cocktails, creativity and community. Make art accessible to the community, bring people together and get them talking with intention and with an inclusivity that allows people to express themselves authentically. We want to use art as a tool to encourage dialogue and create a space that will enable the community to feel safe to speak with No Fucking Filters.
